Chaffee County’s League of Women Voters is hosting a virtual get-together from noon-1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14 with Salida Police Chief Russ Johnson and Buena Vista Police Chief Dean Morgan as guests. Sheriff John Spezze was originally scheduled to join the group but cannot attend due to non-COVID-19 medical reasons.
The chiefs will include discussion (but not limited to) on how their departments deal with sexual assault and domestic violence cases, building on the League’s November meeting with the Alliance, the local advocacy group assisting adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Chaffee and Western Fremont Counties.
