A joint meeting of the Poncha Springs Planning and Zoning Committee and the Board of Trustees to consider the Tailwind Major Subdivision project will take place 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 10  in the meeting room at Poncha Springs Town Hall, 333 Burnett Avenue. The major item of business will be a public hearing on the preliminary plat submitted by the Tailwind Group, LLC, for the  27.5-cre lot, to be divided into 68 lots. Known as Parcel #380510100108 AKA the Bagwell Property, it is located on the east side of Poncha Springs Ln on a vacant lot to the north of Little River Ranch and south of US Hwy 50.

Other business will include a consideration of a “meat store” as a use in T-5 commercial zones, a reallocation of funds to do with the Hoover Park improvement project, and a presentation on the Colorado Mountain Housing Coalition’s (CMHC) educational opportunity for elected officials and the general public. The session will run 8:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs resort as part of their 2-day conference. The session will be “How Housing Happens – a ‘101′ for Community Leaders”.
