The Salida City Council (SCC) will hold a work session this evening at 6:00 p.m. , Monday, November 20, in Council Chambers at the Touber Building, 448 East First Street. A full agenda packet, plus instructions for remote access, can be found here.

Two items are on the agenda: the first, a discussion with Chaffee County on adoption of the 2021 International Energy Conservation, Fire, and Building Codes, and review of the Codes in question with regard to their applicability to City structures and infrastructure.

(In 2022 the State Legislature passed HB22-1362, requiring all local governments to transition to the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code during their next building code update, or by January 1, 2026, whichever comes first.)

The second item is an update from City staff on the city-owned electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, with a view towards establishing rates for charging.
