Senator Michael Bennet announced his San Luis Valley Regional staff will hold office hours in Costilla and Conejos counties on Tuesday, July 25.

Bennet and his staff say they hope to answer Coloradans’ questions, listen to their concerns, and help them navigate federal agencies, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Social Security Administration (SSA), United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and others.

From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 25, San Luis Valley Regional Director Erin Minks will have an office hour session for Costilla County residents. The session will occur at Fort Garland Museum, 29477 CO 159, Fort Garland, Colorado.

From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. later that same day, Minks will hold another office hour session for Conejos County residents. This session will be held at La Jara Town Hall, 211 Broadway Street in La Jara, Colorado.

U.S. Senator Michael Bennet

“There’s no greater responsibility as Colorado’s senator than being responsive to the needs of Coloradans across our state. I’m pleased to announce that our office will hold in-person office hours,” said Bennet. “If you’re having issues navigating a federal agency or receiving benefits, or have any questions, comments, or concerns, I encourage you to schedule time to talk with our team.”

Coloradans who live in Costilla and Conejos Counties are encouraged to schedule an appointment with Senator Bennet’s San Luis Valley Office by emailing or calling 719-587-0096. Constituents are welcome to call any of the Bennet offices at any time for assistance and do not need to wait for office hours to ask for help or share opinions.

When reaching out to schedule a time to talk, residents should include their name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the issue they hope to address. Residents should also include information if they are already working with someone from Bennet’s office in the email.

For more information about navigating federal agencies, residents can visit the “How Can We Help” page on Bennet’s website here.
