Periodic closures set for U.S. Highway 50 Monarch Pass

Located about 15 miles east of Poncha Springs, the operation requires full eastbound and westbound lane closures north of the Monarch Ski Area, specifically between mile markers 201 and 202. According to CDOT those traveling over Monarch on Friday can expect delays up to a half an hour to an hour and are encouraged to allow themselves extra travel time if taking U.S. 50 over Monarch Pass.
