At 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28 at the Dune Valley Distillery (5301 Terry Street, Mosca Colorado), The Valley Roots Food Hub is hosting their annual Farm to Table Shindig. This is an appreciation event for food producers to say “thank you” to those on the frontlines of local food production.

Those interested in attending can RSVP online. Tickets are currently on sale for $25 and will be $30 at the door. Children aged zero to twelve will be free.

The Valley Roots Food Hub is based out of the San Luis Valley and Chaffee County. They serve as an aggregating, marketing, and customer service link ​between local producers and local buyers through online grocery shopping, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA’s), and wholesale distribution.

Slow Opportunities for Investing Locally (SOIL) Sangre de Cristo is a sponsor of the event.

SOIL is a membership-based community loan fund that awards 0 percent interest loans to local farmers, ranchers, and other food producers. SOIL uses charitable donations from Investor Members as a loan fund.
