Ark Valley Voice (AVV) just passed $13,000 in donations on Saturday morning, December 16. We are incredibly grateful for your support during this month-long NewsMatch Challenge. All tax-deductible donations are directed to the first quarter wages of our professional journalists who work every day to give truth a voice. This truly is #NewsCoNeeds.

If you haven’t yet made a donation, there are now 15 days left this year when your 100 percent tax-deductible donation can be matched. You see, if AVV can reach $15,000 in tax-deductible donations by December 31, 2023, we’ll qualify to receive a $15,000 NewsMatch grant from foundations working with our fiscal sponsor the Institute for Nonprofit News.
On top of that, we could qualify to receive another $5,000 grant from the Colorado NewsMatch. It’s funded by a partnership of Rose Community Foundation, our fiscal sponsor, and our funding partners (Bohemian Foundation, Gates Family Foundation, and the Democracy Fund).
These foundations recognize the role of independent, fact-based nonprofit news organizations in defending democracy. AVV is honored by their support, and we believe democracy is worth defending. We hope you do too.
