The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will meet for a work session beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 6 , in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 104 Crestone Avenue, Salida.
For this first work session of the month, Commissioners will hear a quarterly report from the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), as well as updates from Veteran’s Services and the County Coroner’s Office. In addition, Emergency Manager Rich Atkins will present the five-year Integrated Preparedness Schedule and review a final draft of the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
Closing out the morning session, Nikki Ritter, Executive Director of the Ark-Valley Humane Society (AVHS) will present their 2023 Annual Report.
Following typical work session timeframes, the BoCC will reconvene after a lunch break for a 1:15 p.m. Land Management Agencies Stakeholder Meeting, followed at 2:15 p.m. by a Congressional Leadership Update.
