The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) and the Chaffee Planning Commission are scheduled to hold a joint work session beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room at 1 04 Crestone Avenue in Salida.
Their meeting will focus on the county’s Land Use Code rewrite project, and the county’s future land use map and designations.
The extensive rewriting of the Chaffee Land Use Code (LUC) has now taken two years, and developers and property owners are beginning to grow impatient with the process. But, in fact, the new LUC isn’t just a rewrite, it has had to include entirely new sections for land uses that weren’t envisioned when the old code was written.
