The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will meet in regular session beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4 in the Commissioners Meeting Room at 104 Crestone Avenue in Salida. Near the end of its agenda, just prior to adjourning to a land use executive session, it will hear the BlueTriton Brands Annual Report Presentation.

Among other items on the agenda will be the resolution approving the 2023 Renewal Concert by Bonfire Entertainment at The Meadows, as well as a discussion regarding an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) to choose a vendor to do the Level 3 Historical Analysis.

The regular agenda will begin with the BoCC convened as the Board of Health for a public hearing regarding a residential water cistern variance. The agenda item was continued from March 14 due to the applicant, Dale Billeaudeaux not posting the public hearing signs. The requested variance to the Chaffee County Water Supply Standards would allow a water cistern for the provision of potable water supply for a residence, instead of a well.

County staff will get an update on the District Attorney’s office lease with Chaffee County. The county notified the DA’s office before the end of 2022 that it needed the office space because it can’t afford to construct more office space. A testy early March meeting was held, in which the two local government entities agreed to cooperate.
