From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on June 5, the SteamPlant Paquette Gallery will host the opening reception of the Cultureclash Gallery Final Exhibit. The gallery operated for 24 years at the corner of First and F Streets in Salida and closed in March, 2020 at the outset of the pandemic.

The Paquette exhibit will run through the month of June. Owner of cultureclash, Geraldine Alexander, said her only regret was that she didn’t get to have a closing exhibit back then, for her talented artists to thank the Salida community.

Salida Art Walk organizers decided to dedicate their use of the Paquette Gallery during the month of June to give cultureclash one last show with their artists, including PJ Bergin, Cristine Boyd, Merry Cox, Roger Fenton, Fay Golson, Dvora Kanegis, Kay Litz, Sally Mather, Conrad Nelson, Karen Pierce, Jude Silva, Roberta Smith, Bernice Strawn, Lynn Van De Water, and work by the late Ted Fish. Jewelry by Michael Boyd, Ryan Gardner, Nicole Hansen, Rynn Miller and Harold O’Connor are available at the opening reception only.

The show will provide an opportunity for the community to celebrate cultureclash and the contributions it made to the arts community.
