#GivingTuesdayNow (a new global giving initiative) is today, Tuesday May 5. Ark Valley Voice has received information about one of the donation recipients: the essential work of Project C.U.R.E. This organization has provided more than 2 million items – masks, gloves, gowns, and sanitizer – to frontline healthcare workers who are combating COVID-19.

The group is attempting to expand the supply of personal protective equipment to supply more PPE to nurses, doctors, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity, planned in addition to the regularly scheduled (Dec 1, 2020) #GivingTuesday. The creation of this extra giving day is an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by the coronavirus known as COVID-19.

Every dollar of donations made to Project C.U.R.E.’s work will be matched up to $50,000 by a generous individual donor.
