Dear Editor:
I, like most people in Colorado Senate District 5, have been receiving slick expensive mailers telling how bad Senator Kerry Donovan is. So I looked into who is behind these mailers. Not surprising, they are funded by out-of-state groups, mainly oil and gas companies, along with the Koch Brothers.
I believe you can tell a great deal about a politician by their enemies. If out-of-state oil and gas companies don’t like our senator, it is because she is a strong defender of public lands and water. If the Koch Brothers don’t like our senator, it must be because she has worked hard to bring lower cost healthcare and broadband to our rural counties.
Senator Donovan is a rancher who understands and fights for western Colorado values. It is why I am supporting Kerry Donovan for senator this fall.
