The Chaffee County Health Advocates announced on Tuesday that in-person Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is back in Salida.
MAT is a treatment for addiction to opioids. It significantly diminishes withdrawal symptoms and reduces the likelihood of engaging in compulsive and dangerous drug-seeking behavior. For many, MAT is a lifesaver. The provider, Front Range Clinic combines counseling and behavioral health services with medication to help clients live a happier, functional life.
