Mountainfilm on Tour is coming from Telluride to the Upper Arkansas Valley Thursday, March 28, with a lineup of eight inspiring documentaries about nature, activism, and the love of adventure.

The films will be shown at the SteamPlant Event Center with doors opening for refreshments and pre-show socializing at 6:00pm. Showtime in the theater begins at 6:30 p.m.

Mountainfilm’s mission is to use the power of film, art, and ideas to inspire viewers to create a better world. In the selection process, many films are viewed before the final eight are selected. Ranging in length from 3 to 26 minutes, the eight chosen documentaries were filmed across the planet from Brazil to Scotland.

The playlist covers topics from soil health to Black surfers and the Ebony Beach Club of Los Angeles, to a highline walk between two hot air balloons 6,000 feet above Brazil.  See the full playlist here:  https://www.mountainfilm.org/tour-show/salida_co/

Mountainfilm on Tour in the Upper Arkansas Valley is hosted by the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA). Tickets are on sale at GARNA.org. If unsold tickets remain by showtime, they can be purchased at the SteamPlant door the day of the event. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for under 18, with GARNA members receiving a discount.
