Salida Circus recently hosted Girls With Books! a nonprofit that supports girls’ education in South Sudan.
Following their tour of Salida schools, the group is now collecting email addresses from Chaffee County students/residents who would like to be pen pals with female students in the towns of Juba and Bor, South Sudan.
Pen pals will be matched in February 2024 when River Tribe director Donna Lester visits the schools. Those interested in becoming pen pals with a girl from South Sudan, should provide their name, age, and email address to info@thesalidacircus.com
