The Salida City Council (SCC) will hold a joint work session with the Planning Committee and then go on to its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 2, starting at 5:00 p.m. for the work session and 6:00 p.m. for the regular session.

On the agenda for the work session is a review of a Proposed Planned Development and Major Subdivision, proposed by Walt Harder, for the remaining lots within the Angelview Minor Subdivision and the .57-acre parcel adjoining the subdivision.

The lots are located between County Road 120 and County Road 140 and total approximately 11.9 acres including Shepherd Road.  The Angelview project has a long history and this represents the latest phase.

Additional items on the work session agenda are candidate interviews for the Sustainability Committee, the Tree Board, and the Airport Board.

The agenda for the regular meeting includes second reading and public hearing for Ordinance 2023-20, considering approval for the major impact review for the Flour Mill Development. In addition, Ordinance 2023-21, appointing Cheryl Hardy-Moore as a Municipal Judge for a two-year term will also see a public hearing and second reading.

There are also a number of Resolutions to do with public notice posting places, appointments to advisory boards, and commercial lease agreements. A first reading is also set for Ordinance 2024-01, setting a public hearing date for amending Title 18 of the Municipal Code to adopt the 2021 versions of all the various International Building and Fire Codes.
