Scholarship deadline is approaching
This scholarship application opportunity from the Sons of Italy is open to high school seniors and is offered by the Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge #1309.

If you’re Italian and graduating from Salida High School or Horizons Exploratory Academy this spring, listen up — there could be a $500 scholarship for you, but you’ll need to act now.
The Sons of Italy offers a scholarship every spring to high school graduates to be used towards College or a Trade/Vocational School. Students must be graduating this May 2024 and must be of Italian heritage. Applicants are being asked to complete a personal statement, giving a brief history of their Italian heritage, why they are proud to be Italian-Americans, and why they deserve the scholarship.
Students should include their name, address, email and phone number, as well as their personal statement, 1-2 referral letters, a resume including work and volunteer experience and high school transcripts, showing the classes they took while in high school and their grades.
Students should email their information to mlpuj6@gmail.com no later than April 1, 2024. Please include “Sons of Italy Scholarship” in the subject line. If a student applies who goes to Salida High , that student can also give their application to their High School Counselor.
The review committee will evaluate all applications after April 1. A scholarship winner will be chosen and contacted in May.
