It’s official. The Chaffee County 2023 Consolidated Election is in the record books.

We received word from Chaffee Clerk and Recorder Lori Mitchell that the county conducted the risk-limiting audit this past Saturday.
Election officials hand-counted 90 ballots and compared them to the Cast Vote Record and had no discrepancies.
On Monday the state confirmed the audit as complete and the county moved on to the Canvass Board. It was convened at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and the Canvass Board certified the results.
