Chaffee County Announces COVID-19 “One Chance to Reopen Business Safely”

Chaffee County leaders say that their message regarding the county reopening from the “stay at home” orders  for coronavirus known as COVID-19, is very focused on our own county. It is both promise and warning: “We have one chance to get this right.”  If we do it wrong, and cases begin to rise, if businesses jump the county’s timeline, if people don’t open social distancing standards, the county could loose its entire, critical summer recreation season.

Four Chaffee County Manufacturers Develop Community Hand Sanitizer in Response to COVID-19 Shortages

The lack of supplies to disinfect hands and surfaces has been a world-wide issue since the outbreak of the coronavirus known as the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to sanitizer shortages that have taken place worldwide, four Chaffee County manufacturers have come together to develop and distribute hand sanitizer to local EMS, care facilities and other Chaffee County organizations. The four: Pure Greens, Woods High Mountain Distillery, Elevation Brewing and Pursell.
