On Monday afternoon, January 15, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that over the past several weeks they have investigated several burglaries across the county.

In most cases, it appears these burglaries happened to residences where the occupants were either out of town for the holidays or for the winter season.
On January 13, 2024, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office issued two arrest warrants for Johnathan Edward Lee, age 36 of Salida, for Burglary of a Dwelling, a class 3 Felony.
On January 14, 2024 the Lakewood Police Department arrested Johnathan Lee for two outstanding Chaffee County arrest warrants. Lee is being held in the Jefferson County Detention Facility on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the remaining burglary cases.
