The Chaffee Housing Authority (CHA) will hold its regular meeting starting at 4:30 p.m. this evening, Thursday, February 22, at 114 Linderman Avenue in Buena Vista.

Among the action items on the agenda are a letter of intent for the Alpine West project in Buena Vista, and contracts for going forward with construction on Jane’s Place, a Salida-based shelter and temporary home for families.

The public has been waiting patiently (some would say impatiently) for a construction update on this new housing project. The facility is named after the late Jane Whitmer, who was an advocate for women, children, and families for many years with Family and Youth Initiative (FYI), among others.

Also on the agenda are reports on the Salida Inclusionary Housing project and the ballot initiative survey that CHA launched earlier this month.

The agenda and instructions for remote meeting access can be found here as well as on the CHA’s online calendar.
