On Monday, Governor Jared Polis issued an Executive Order to support statewide election cybersecurity.

The order activates members of the Colorado National Guard for cybersecurity defense to assist with keeping the Colorado 2022 General Election secure, as has been done in years prior.  The step comes as the federal government  has issued a heightened domestic terrorism alert.

More than 25 million Americans have already voted; a pace running three million ahead of prior years.

This year security issues have been at the forefront, as conspiracy theories have swirled and right-wing activists have taken to poll-watching in the wake of the “big lie” about the 2020 election, propagated by former President Trump and his MAGA followers.

Election deniers are on the ballot in areas of Colorado, and there are reported to be some 600 election deniers on the ballots nationwide.
