Nestled at the head of the Arkansas Valley, at an elevation of 8,000 feet and surrounded by peaks, the Comanche drive-in is the highest in elevation of any drive-in in the U.S. Last year, it stood in for many events that couldn’t be held indoors due to COVID-19, including the Buena Vista High School graduation.

New digital projection was installed in August of 2018 and offers 4K digital clarity. Sound is by FM radio so guests can use car radios or bring their own portable devices. The Comanche is a cash-only venue.

The Comanche was built in 1966 by John and Pearl Groy and had its first full season in 1967.  It has since remained a family business.
