If donations are any indication of party enthusiasm, then support for the Democratic Committee candidates are wildly enthusiastic compared to the supporters of Colorado Republican candidates.

According to the Colorado Secretary of State’s website, as of  February, 2024, contributions and loans for state Democratic candidates filed in 2024 already total more than $820,000, more than six times higher than the recorded contributions and loans for Republican candidates, which as of today has just topped $130,000.

Contributions to issues committees though, at more than $2.7 million, are running ahead of either political party

The graph represents all contributions and loans that were included on reports filed in the current year.

The largest contribution category by far in the 2024 election season is the category called “other”; representing $3,740,998 in contributions.

According to the site’s Quick Facts, nine of the top 10 spending candidates are Democrats. Given the contribution stats, this would appear to make sense.
