Give Your Input On Camping in the Upper Arkansas Valley
Comments Accepted Through January 31, 2022

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Royal Gorge Field Office are developing a plan for managing dispersed camping and associated travel routes in Chaffee County. They are seeking input regarding alternatives to camping for around 38,000 acres of BLM public land where the demand for camping has increased in the ten years.

The management plan is intended to address issues and concerns associated with camping on public lands as well as meet the demand for a range of camping opportunities.

The BLM is providing an opportunity for the public to comment and provide input, a requirement before the agency can make management changes.

More information about all GARNA events can be found on their website.
