Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) has welcomed board-certified Allergist and Immunologist Michael Flais, M.D., to HRRMC’s medical staff. Dr. Flais will see patients full-time at the HRRMC Allergy Clinic, which is located in the Outpatient Pavilion on HRRMC’s main campus in Salida (1000 Rush Drive).

Flais earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois.

Flais spent nearly 20 years in a private clinic as a partner at Associated Allergists and Asthma Specialists in Naperville and Orland Park, Illinois. Recently, Dr. Flais worked at Colorado State University Health Center and Colorado Allergy and Asthma Centers in Fort Collins. He enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and biking during his time off.

“As one of few areas in rural Colorado that offers allergy/immunology and asthma services, we see people travel from outlying areas of 30 or more miles away to access these services,” said HRRMC CEO Bob Morasko. “We are elated Dr. Flais has joined our clinic full-time in order to meet the high demand we see for these resources, making them more available to our community and beyond.”

Those looking to make an appointment with Dr. Flais or for more information about the HRRMC Allergy clinic can call 719-530-2000 or visit HRRMC.com.
