Local author and “animal and nature person” Patty LaTaille will speak on methods of nonviolent communication (NVC) and restorative justice, as well as share stories from her book “Paws 4 Peace: Enhancing Restorative Practices with Therapy Dogs”, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m on November 13 at the Salida Regional Library.

LaTaille practices as a professional mediator with Keeping The Peace, LLC and serves as the Humanizing Justice Systems and Social Media Lead on the Cornerstone Leadership Council for The Peace Alliance.

Lataille continues to travel extensively while living in Portugal and the Colorado mountains, and is currently working on her children’s book, “No Bears for Patty”.

Local therapy dogs and their trainers will be on hand to answer questions as well. Light refreshments will be served.
