Road construction will begin Monday, June 18, in Salida at the intersection of E and Fourth streets, and on C Street from Teller Avenue to Seventh Street, according to press release by the city of Salida.
The city has contracted with Y&K Excavation Inc. to replace water lines and reconstruct the streets in these locations. Road work will be completed one block at a time to reduce the impact on parking and traffic, and is expected to be finished in October.
Also on Monday, pavement repairs will begin on Mesa Lane and on Airport Road at Poncha Boulevard. Temporary closures may occur and drivers are advised to plan alternate routes when possible.
