The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday, July 27 that the search for missing hiker Terry Pann, age 60, from Nathrop, Colorado, resumed on Monday and will continue today

Pann, who was hiking in the Ice Mountain/Three Apostles area near Winfield, has been missing since July 22. Searchers on July 27 failed to locate him.

The search involves members of Chaffee County Search and Rescue North; again scouring the area and using drones.

According to the sheriff’s office, the monsoon weather has hampered search efforts as well as extremely rugged and steep terrain. The Ice Mountain/Three Apostles area near Winfield is known for very steep rugged terrain. It requires search crews with technical skills to search safely.

Searchers resumed their efforts early Tuesday morning in hopes of locating Pann. The sheriff’s office is asking that anyone who has hiked the area between the dates of July 22 and today’s date, who may have pertinent information, to call the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office at 719-207-319.
