“These numbers are continuing to grow here in Colorado. Moments ago, I signed a letter to the President asking him to declare a Major Disaster Area for the State of Colorado to help us deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. That has been granted for California, Washington, and New York. We have made the request for Major disaster status because Colorado is near the top in cases per capita with a uniquely high situation unfolding in our mountain communities as well as those who have recently visited those mountain communities.”

The $2 Trillion Survival Bill passes the United States Senate, Now Heads to House

Overnight Wednesday — after wrangling for days – and nights, Wednesday the United States Senate finally agreed upon a $2 trillion dollar financial package known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. It’s goal; to fight the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and help Americans weather the economic fallout of the crisis. The bill still has to pass the U.S. House, and the date for that vote is not yet known.

COVID-19 Global Pandemic Continues Unabated: Numbers Rising Dramatically, Topping 400,000

As the global pandemic continues to grow around the globe, the coronavirus known as COVID-19 is setting modern infectious disease records. It has spread from one country – China – in January, to infections spread across 169 countries around the globe. In Colorado this afternoon, cases topped 912; on March 19, there were only 277 cases in the state.
