If you’re looking to shake up your weekday dinner routine, King Kaeng’s Curry might be just the way to do it. From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday February 4, the food cart will be switching it up with Colombian food.
King Kaeng’s is located in Tres Litros Beer Company at 118 North E Street in Salida and they also offer take out. Thursday’s menu includes empanadas, a traditional stew, plantains and tres leches cake to complete your meal. See the full menu below:
- Empanadas are served with Pique Encurtido Colombiano (Salsa made with pickled bell pepper and red onion, thyme, black pepper and lime), Mild or spicy.
- Papa(potato)
- Papa y Hogao (potato and sautéed tomato/onion)
- Papa y Hogao con Queso (potato, cheese, sautéed tomato/onion)
- Sudado de Pollo
Traditional stew made with chicken thighs, potato, onion, tomato, garlic and spices.
Served with rice, cilantro and lime wedge. Available as a combo with plantain, avocado and an empanada. - Sides include:
- Platano Maduro-Ripe plantain caramelized in cast iron skillet. Lightly salted.
- Salsa Criolla-(Simple salsa with red onion, lime and cilantro)
- Aguacate-(Avocado)

Hello Brooke, Thanks for highlighting the special Columbian menu with King Kaeng on the 4th. It was delicious and nice to have a change of pace from King Kaeng’s normally great food.
