The Salida City Council (SCC) is holding a joint work session with the Planning Commission (PC) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in Council Chambers at the Touber Building, 448 E. First Street.

The SCC and the PC will review a conceptual plan for a Major Subdivision for 77 Illinois Avenue, between Milford and Teller Streets, being proposed by Shaken Roost LLC. The plan is for 14 half-duplex lots, resulting in 7 duplexes.

Included in the Board packet are applications from seven candidates, including:

  • Jackie Berndt, who ran for a Ward 3 seat against Alisa Pappenfort in the November, 2023 election;
  • Wayles Martin, who ran for Treasurer in the same election;
  • Cory “Salty” Riggs, founding member of the BETCH group and current Board member for the Chaffee Housing Authority.
  • Also submitting applications are Adam Martinez, Mark Wisehart, Robert “Wolf” Perlman, and Richard Parker.
