The Salida Public Art Commission will host a Pre-Proposal meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 22 at the Salida SteamPlant to provide more information on their recent request for design proposal for a major new public art project. Those unable to attend in person are encouraged to join via Zoom.

Attendance at the meeting is highly recommended (though not mandatory), and the conference is expected to last roughly one hour. Questions regarding the Request for Proposals must be in writing and emailed to Michael Varnum pac@cityofsalida.com. (Applicants are directed not to contact any other person with inquiries regarding this RFP.)
The project location is at the corner of U.S. Highway 291 (West First Street) and G Street, at the entrance to the downtown business sector and the Creative Arts District. Currently, the site is designed and used as a recreational skate park, including concrete ramps and bowls traditionally associated with such facilities.
