Weddings at high altitude are an attractive option, both for local couples and those from the Front Range. The Buena Vista Wedding Expo scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 will showcase all the reasons why Buena Vista is the perfect special place for a wedding or elopement.
The setting for the Buena Vista Wedding Expo is the new Surf Hotel, located at 1012 Front Loop, right next to the Arkansas River. The free event will include 32 local professionals and wedding specialists, offering the products and services needed to put on a memorable wedding. The event will feature some of the Arkansas River Valley premier caterers. Also offered as part of the event are limo tours to some of the wedding site venues in and around Buena Vista, ranging from intimate ceremony sites to all-inclusive resorts for large weddings.
Organized by the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by the Chaffee County Visitors Bureau, the event also offers couples who pre-register the chance to win special offers and prizes, including a $200 gift certificate to the Surf Hotel.
