High Country Bank is hosting two pet food drives during June in Salida and Buena Vista to benefit the animals of Ark-Valley Humane Society (AVHS). Any type of unopened cat and dog food will be accepted at both locations. High Country Bank will donate $1 for every pound of donated dog food, up to a total of $500 at each event.

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 9 donations can be delivered to High Country Bank’s Salida branch at 7360 West Highway 50.

On 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 16 the second food drive will accept donations at High Country Bank’s Buena Vista branch at 516 US Highway 24 North.

“We are grateful to the continued support from High Country Bank. This pet food drive helps feed the shelter animals and keep our community pet food pantry stocked. Our pet food pantry is one of AVHS’s many safety net programs helping pets and their people to stay together,” said Ark-Valley Humane Society Executive Director Amber Vanleuken.
