Skiers and snowboarders are invited to join the Slopestyle Competition at Monarch Mountain on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23,  for the chance to win a Never Summer Snowboard.

Registration for the event opens at 8 a.m. The cost for entering the event is $10, contestants are also required to purchase a lift ticket.

“Slopestyle competitions are really fun to watch and everyone is encouraged to come out to cheer on the competition,” said Kathryn Wadsworth, Monarch Mountain’s event coordinator.

Registration criteria for the event is minimal.

“Folks will need to be able to ski or snowboard and have a lift ticket or season pass to access the Never Summer Terrain Park,” Wadsworth explained.

Wadsworth said she wants to make sure guests know that all ages are welcome to take part in the competition.

“Slopestyle competitions attract all ages of skiers and snowboarders,” Wadsworth said. “Each competitor has their own favorite tricks to show off among the terrain features or jumps.”

Participants will need to have valid ski passes. Adult competitor (18+) lift tickets are $54, teens (13-17) are $45, and child competitors (7-12) are $32.
