If you’ve been waiting for a chance to improve your skating skills, the Ark Valley High Rollers (AVHR) will be hosting a slew of skateboard and roller skate clinics on May 14 and 15 in Salida. Ramp ‘n’ Roll Salida will start at 9:00 a.m. both days, offering everything from clinics on technique to private lessons. Participants can also stay after the clinics for the open roller derby scrimmage at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Brina Wyss, Nicole Noller, and Leann Corbit, professional female coaches from Denver, will be in the valley, teaching clinics for all ages and abilities.

Proceeds from the clinic costs will benefit the Ramps and Alleys Clubhouse for the youth of Chaffee County.

“We plan to make this a yearly event for our community which will also attract non-local participation,” says Stacy Falk, owner of Ramps and Alleys and program coordinator for the AVHR Quad Club. See the registration site for class details and registration links.
