Arkansas Valley Music and Dance (AVMAD) has made a decision regarding its community dance schedule for fall winter 2021-22.
“After studying and discussing the many issues involved with beginning the Buena Vista Community Dances again, unfortunately, it has been decided that it would be best to wait to resume our live band dances until the fall of 2022,” reads their announcement. Adding, “we had really hoped to find some ways to make things work out.”
AVMAD says it thanks the members of the community who took the time to respond to their survey, but in the end, decided it was safer to wait until the pandemic is under control. Its coverage area includes Salida, Buena Vista, and Leadville.
It asks that the community continue to check the AVMAD website at www.avmad.org for updates. If plans change due to county health guidelines, this is where they will announce changes.
