This coming Friday, April 23, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper and the Colorado Restaurant Association will host a webinar on the new Restaurant Revitalization Grant Program. Colorado restaurants, breweries, food trucks and other businesses are invited to learn about applying for the new $28.6 billion COVID Restaurant Revitalization Fund program. Under the new program, created by the American Rescue Plan, eligible businesses will be able to receive grants equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss of up to $10 million.

Grants distributed under this fund are flexible and can be used for expenses in addition to payroll, such as a business mortgage, rent, supplies, and construction — for example, if a restaurant incurred costs to expand outdoor seating.

Applications for the grant program will be available on the Small Business Administration’s website in the coming weeks. A fact sheet on the program is available HERE.

Businesses interested in attending may register for the webinar HERE, or on the Colorado Restaurant Association’s website.

Presenting  the grant program overview on the webinar will be:

  • U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper
  • Sonia Riggs, Colorado Restaurant Association President and CEO
  • Frances Padilla, SBA Colorado District Office District Director
  • Aaron Frazier, National Restaurant Association
  • Torben Welch, Messner Reeves LLC
